Subjunctive Mood (Dilek Kipi)
Subjunctive, İngilizce'de öneri, gereklilik, istek ve talep bildiren resmi yapılarda kullanılır. Fiil her zaman yalın (bare infinitive) kalır - özneye göre değişmez.
Yapı
It is + sıfat + that + subject + V1 (yalın fiil)
It is essential that she be on time. (is değil, be!)
Subjunctive Tetikleyen Sıfatlar
essential important necessary vital crucial imperative desirable urgent
It is important that he attend the meeting. (attends değil!)
It is vital that every student submit the form. (submits değil!)
Subjunctive Tetikleyen Fiiller
suggest recommend insist demand request propose require urge
The doctor suggested that she take a rest. (takes değil!)
They demanded that he resign. (resigns değil!)
I recommend that the report be revised.
Olumsuz Subjunctive
Subject + not + V1 (don''t/doesn''t kullanılmaz!)
It is important that he not be late. (doesn''t be / isn''t DEĞİL!)
I suggest that she not accept the offer.
