İleri seviye bağlama ifadeleri, akademik yazımda ve YDS/YÖKDİL sınavlarında sıkça kullanılan resmi yapılardır. Cümleler arasında mantıksal ilişki kurar.

Zıtlık (Contrast)

Ekleme (Addition)

Koşul (Condition)

provided (that) / providing (that) = koşuluyla

as long as / so long as = -dığı sürece

unless = -madıkça, -mezse (if...not)

Unless you hurry, you''ll miss the bus.

otherwise = aksi takdirde

Amaç (Purpose)

in order to / so as to + V1 (olumlu amaç)

in order not to / so as not to + V1 (olumsuz amaç)

so that + cümle (+ can/will/could/would)

lest + S + should + V1 (= olmasın diye - çok resmi)

She studied hard so that she could pass the exam.
He left early in order not to be late.
He whispered lest anyone should hear.

⚠ however vs but vs although

but = bağlaç, iki cümleyi birleştirir: It rained but we went.

however = zarf, noktalı virgül/nokta ile: It rained. However, we went.

although = bağlaç, yan cümle başlatır: Although it rained, we went.

❌ ~~Although it rained, however we went.~~ (İkisi birlikte KULLANILMAZ!)

🇹🇷 İleri bağlaçlar: however/nevertheless (zıtlık), furthermore/moreover (ekleme), therefore (sonuç), provided that (koşul).

Örnek Cümleler

İpucu / Tüyo

⚡ however = zarf (nokta/noktalı virgül ile). but = bağlaç (virgül ile). although + but birlikte KULLANILMAZ! Akademik yazımda furthermore/moreover tercih edilir.
