Participle Clauses Nedir?
Participle clause, bir yan cümleyi kısaltarak daha akıcı ve resmi bir dil oluşturma yöntemidir. Bağlaç ve özne atılır, fiil -ing veya -ed/-V3 formuna dönüştürülür.
Present Participle (-ing)
Aktif anlam ve eşzamanlılık ifade eder.
Tam: Because she felt tired, she went to bed early.
Kısa: Feeling tired, she went to bed early.
Tam: While he was walking in the park, he found a wallet.
Kısa: Walking in the park, he found a wallet.
Past Participle (-ed / V3)
Pasif anlam ifade eder.
Tam: Because the bridge was built in 1900, it needs repair.
Kısa: Built in 1900, the bridge needs repair.
Tam: Because she was surprised by the news, she couldn''t speak.
Kısa: Surprised by the news, she couldn''t speak.
Perfect Participle (Having + V3)
Daha önce tamamlanan eylemi ifade eder.
Tam: After she had finished her homework, she watched TV.
Kısa: Having finished her homework, she watched TV.
Pasif: After the building had been renovated, it looked amazing.
Kısa: Having been renovated, the building looked amazing.
