Past Continuous Tense Nedir?
Past Continuous (Geçmiş Sürekli Zaman), geçmişte belirli bir anda devam etmekte olan eylemleri ifade eder. Genellikle bir olay olurken başka bir olay araya girer.
Yapı
Olumlu: Subject + was/were + V-ing
Olumsuz: Subject + wasn''t/weren''t + V-ing
Soru: Was/Were + Subject + V-ing?

- Geçmişte devam eden eylem + araya giren olay (WHEN):
I was watching TV when the phone rang. - Aynı anda iki paralel eylem (WHILE):
While she was cooking, he was reading. - Geçmişte belirli bir anda:
At 8 PM last night, I was studying. - Ortam/sahne tasviri:
The sun was shining and birds were singing.

⚠ Yaygın Hata
WHEN + kısa eylem = Simple Past. İki eylem de continuous olmaz!
